Innovation und Weichenstellung - Generationenübergreifend seit 1864
1958 stieg der 22 jährige Dieter C. Schmid in das Unternehmen ein und repräsentierte nun, nach Vollendung seines Ingenieur-Studiums, die vierte Generation der Familie Schmid.
Fünf Jahre später leitete der junge Maschinenbau-Ingenieur die ersten Versuche zur Leiterplattenbearbeitung ein. Diese wurden auf ursprünglich für Zifferblätter und Frontplatten konzipierten Bürstmaschinen durchgeführt.
1965 übernahm Dieter C.Schmid, nach dem Tod von Seniorchef Paul Schmid, bereits im Alter von 29 Jahren die Leitung des mittlerweile 50 Mitarbeiter umfassenden Unternehmens. Kurz danach wurde das Maschinenprogramm nun um Durchlauf-Bürstautomaten erweitert.
